Clear rounds and lots of experience for Claire, Henna S and Joel-S
The Houtzager-Kayser Stable participated with some of our young horses during the national De Peelbergen Competition in Kronenberg, Netherlands. Julia jumped with our eight-year-old Claire (Centadel x Le Tot de Semilly) and Roy Weel came into action with the seven-year-old Henna S and the five-year-old Joel-S (on photo). All classes were ridden as two phases ‘special’. Beside a single jumping fault we could note a clean sheet.
Daughter of Sterrehof’s Ushi
Claire was flawless on both days. The mare, who is already internationally qualified at 1.45m level, opened strongly in the 1.30m class and continued this at 1.40m level by finishing third. On Friday a 0/0 result was achieved in a 1.35m class, which resulted in an 11th spot.
Henna also managed to convince. The daughter of our Grand Prix stars Sterrehof’s Opium and Sterrehof’s Ushi had one rail down in the first phase and stayed clear in the second at 1.30m. In her next class at 1.20m a 0/0 result followed. On the closing day she repeated this in the 1.25m class and clinched 21st spot in a field of 134 competitors. Before, the genetically high-valued Henna S has been used for breeding too and already produced Kennet S and Mercury S.
Appealing gelding
Finally, Joel-S gained a lot of experience by competing at a show for two days in a row. The young, appealing gelding has already moved from our company to the Houtzager-Kayser Stable and also left a good impression in Equestrian Centre De Peelbergen. Both on Thursday and Friday, he realised two flawless phases in the 1.10m classes.
