Sterrehof Stud prominently present during Jumping Amsterdam
It’s a great tradition to start the year directly with a highlight like Jumping Amsterdam. For us this show is one of the events we support strongly and this will also be the case during the current 59th edition. On Friday afternoon the international show jumping riders and their top horses will kick off with the Stoeterij Sterrehof Prize, a 1.40m class against the clock. The four star event in the RAI Convention Centre will continue during the weekend where several international top classes will bring us towards the climax on Sunday afternoon, officially named the Anemone Horse Trucks Grand Prix of Amsterdam powered by Stoeterij Sterrehof.
Lovely memories
The reason we support a show like Jumping Amsterdam was last year explained by Ivo Campagne in his contribution of the Paardenkrant Chain Letter. Summarized he made clear that from his point of view it’s important that show organizers are able to continually renew and create events which are also popular with non-horse people. And this for sure applies to the show in Amsterdam.
Of course our horses cannot be absent at such a podium. We already cherish lovely memories from the past, like the public farewell of the sport from Sterrehof’s Opium in 2015 (photo), and also this year several of the Sterrehof horses will be present with Marc and Julia. Marc will enter the arena with the always competitive Sterrehof’s Bylou, his top horse Sterrehof’s Calimero and with the young and talented Sterrehof’s Edinus. Julia in her turn will be there with Sterrehof’s Dante, another coming star.
Fingers crossed for all of them. We’re ready for three fantastic days of show jumping in Amsterdam!
