12 horses updated and 16 horses added to website
All young horses from the 2014 to 2019 batches are now displayed on our website. The information of twelve horses that were already on the site has been updated and a total of sixteen horses have been added.
The four to six year olds can be found in the ‘Horses in training’ overview. The strictly selected, six year old talents Jerom (by I’m Special de Muze), Joel (by Don Diablo) and Joint (by Sterrehof’s Opium) are now performing up to 1.20m level. All five-year-olds, namely Kennet (by Sterrehof’s Great Blue), Koert (by Chaman), Kennice (by Sterrehof’s Great Blue) and Kherna (by Sterrehof’s Opium) have already jumped successfully at several small national shows. The four-year-olds Liberty (by Sterrehof’s Great Blue), Lavanna (by Escudo I), Lambada (by Toulon) and Live Star (by Van Gogh) are under the saddle and are being schooled further on towards their show debut, later this year.
Horses in group housing
Next we come to the youngsters from the 2017 to 2019 batches. These horses can be found below our breeding mares in the ‘Breeding’ overview. The three-year-olds are already in our sport stable to be broken in and after that will go back to the pasture for most of the year. This beautiful generation consists of Madesca (by Berlin), Toulady Z (by Toulon), Mercurius (by Diamant de Semilly) and Maserati (by Eldorado van de Zeshoek).
The two youngest batches stay in group housing at our stud farm. Most of these horses not only have a sire but also a dam that jumped at (high) international level. First of all the two-year-olds, five fillies in total, namely: Agolina S Z (by Aganix du Seigneur), Nana Moscouri (by Quabri de l’Isle), Next Lina (by Eldorado van de Zeshoek), Noah W (by Quabri de l’Isle) and Sublieme Prinseveld (by Lavallino ter Klomp).
The colts are well represented in the 2019 batch, with six out of seven yearlings. A total of five yearlings descends from the very first crop of our Grand Prix stallion Sterrehof’s Cayetano Z, all out of top-class broodmares. These five are Champagne, Cognac, Catch of the Day and Chapeau and the filly Celisimo. Finally, the colts Ouzo (by Quabri de l’Isle) and Orion (by Cornet du Lys) are among our youngest future assets.
