28 horses found their way to international level through Sterrehof Stud
Every year several jumping horses are bred and purchased by Sterrehof Stud, based on their genetic expectations. These young talents grow up at our place and are trained in accordance with our philosophy. Nowadays we can conclude that this approach is very successful. The most famous example is for sure Sterrehof’s Calimero, one of Marc’s absolute top horses in recent years and a proven championship horse. But Calimero does not stand alone. In his slipstream there are many horses that came to us at very young age, received their training with us and later performed at international level with riders all over the world. Over a period of ten years (birth years 2006 – 2016) we note no fewer than 28 horses, many of which are still active in international sport. You will find an overview of these horses below.
A total of five horses (Sterrehof’s Calimero, Cupidor, Queen Jane, Moeen and Zapitol-s) perform at 1.60m level, three horses at 1.50m and eight at 1.45m. In addition, many of the horses on the list are still young and have the potential to even grow to a higher level.
