Marc and Edinus to beautiful 5th place in traditional final class GCT Madrid
During the Global Champions Tour of Madrid, Sterrehof’s Edinus and Sterrehof’s Calimero left a good impression in various classes, but we had to wait until Sunday evening before this got rewarded. In the traditional King’s Cup of Madrid, Edinus and Marc were the first to start in the jump-off after an fantastic performance in the opening round. In front of 8,000 enthusiastic Spanish fans, our duo gave their very best. Thanks to some sharp turns and Edinus’s big gallop Marc realised a quick and above all clear round. Several combinations weren’t able to better their result, but in the end four others managed to do so, with Dutch rider Frank Schuttert being the winner of this historical class.
Calimero clear in GCL
In the first round of the Global Champions League team competition on Friday, Edinus also performed brilliantly. A single time penalty blocked the way to a clear round. This result came the day after and was realised by Calimero on the Club de Campo Villa de Madrid’s large grass arena. Despite this successful second round, there was unfortunately no top result for the Prague Lions, Marc’s team during the GCL competition. This was also the case during the Grand Prix. Calimero was strongly en route in the main class of the CSI Madrid, which has been part of the GCT for a number of years, but the last part of the course regretfully prevented a good result.
