Marc and Dante conclude competition series in St. Tropez-Grimaud with a sixth place
Two convincing rounds of jumping by Sterrehof’s Dante and Marc got rewarded with a beautiful sixth place in the CSI4* Grand Prix of Saint-Tropez. The reigning Dutch champions were on a roll in the first round and placed themselves among the only eight combinations of 46 competitors who managed to stay clear. In the jump-off another clear followed. A strongly ridden round by our duo ensured a return in the prize giving ceremony. And while Marc peaked with Dante on the closing Sunday, Sterrehof’s Edinus, who also performed well, achieved his best result on day 1. With a fine clear round he finished tenth in the 1.45m class against the clock.
Welcome replacement
For Marc and our horses the result in the main class was a worthy end to the competitions in Grimaud, located in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Throughout the summer, these shows functioned as a welcome replacement for all the competitions that were cancelled by the corona virus in the outdoor season. Three weeks ago we already saw a wonderful performance by Marc and Dante in the CSI5* GP and now it was followed up nicely in the closing week of this summer series of jumping competitions.
