Third second place for Dante and Marc in one and a half months
Sterrehof’s Dante and Marc experienced an excellent weekend during the prestigious CSI5 * Saut Hermès. Both on Saturday and Sunday, our duo showed their strong form in the appealing entourage of the Grand Palais, in the heart of Paris. First, an impressively jumping Dante clinched a nice seventh place in a 1.50m class against the clock. The icing on the cake followed a day later. In a 1.50m two phases competition, our eleven-year-old top mare again flew over the fences and was very fast in the second phase, which resulted in a beautiful second place. It was a great way to finish a strong indoor season for Dante. After previous strong performances in 1.45m classes in Kronenberg and Dortmund, Dante bagged her third second place in one and a half months’ time.
Unfortunately, Sterrehof’s Calimero was this time less successful in the French capital. On Friday, he and Marc had a rail down at the end of the course. In the Grand Prix, in which our duo were the only ones to represent the Netherlands, they didn’t stay clear in the difficult line with the liverpool fence, followed by a double combination and missed the jump-off.
