Sterrehof's Dante and Sterrehof's Calimero jump to good results in 4* tour
Sterrehof’s Calimero (photo) and Sterrehof’s Dante performed well with Marc at the Longines Global Future Champions in Valkenswaard. On Friday, especially the first mentioned showed that he is still going strong, thanks to the excellent management of the Houtzager-Kayser Stable. Seventeen-year-old Calimero convincingly jumped a double clear round in the 1.50m Grand Prix qualifier and noted the fifth fastest time in the jump-off. The next day, he jumped one rail down in the second qualifier for the Grand Prix, but Calimero still finished on a creditable ninth place.

In the class before we also found Dante back in ninth place. She jumped to a flawless result in this 1.45m course, and Marc took his time in the jump-off. In the 1.55m Grand Prix, Dante again jumped a clear in the first round, only this time she made a mistake at the first fence of the double combination in the decisive jump-off. Once again, a ninth place was the final result.
