Physiotherapists and veterinarians discuss at Sterrehof Stud
Several veterinarians and physiotherapists gathered this week at Sterrehof Stud for an evening full with lectures and discussion. After a short tour around our premises the guests came together in our foyer for this symposium that was organized by Equine Services. Topics that passed in review were the do’s and don’ts of laser therapy and the use and pitfalls of kinesio taping and dry needling. All of these actual topics were profound thanks to several cases from practice. Responsible for all the interesting information were Mathilde Pluim and Aagje Hardeman, two vets from Dutch origin that work at the leading German Tierklinik Lüsche.
More interaction
Frank van Leeuwen, together with Monique Hijdra the thriving force behind Equine Services, speaks afterwards of a successful evening. His goal is to reach more interaction between people that work in equestrian health services. ‘Discussion between colleagues can create an important contribution in further development of our profession and its practitioners. Evenings like these are very valuable from that perspective’, says Van Leeuwen.
