The appealing Mercurius S shows real talent for the sport. He is schooled at the Houtzager-Kayser Stables and jumped at international 1.35m level in 2024. In 2023, he won the 1.20m Sterrehof Trophy Final at Outdoor Gelderland and at the end of that year he performed successfully at 1.30m level. With his good reflexes he jumps a lot of clear rounds.
He is also genetically very interesting. His sire Diamant de Semilly was the no.1 on the WBFSH ranking for breeding stallions and is a former world champion with the French team. Mercurius’ dam Henna S is a daughter from Sterrehof’s Ushi and Sterrehof’s Opium, who both have performed successfully at 1.60m level. Ushi herself is a daughter from former individual world champion Vigo d’Arsouilles and a descendant out of the famous Qerly Chin dam line.
