Fantastic horse sport at Outdoor Gelderland
For five days long we enjoyed the beautiful horse sport at Outdoor Gelderland! This international show at Papendal Arnhem is one of the events in the Netherlands that we support. Take for example the finals of the Sterrehof Stud Outdoor Gelderland Trophy, that were scheduled on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. The final of the national Z class was won by Lars Kuster and Tennessee V, the M class by Kimberly van Engelen and Belle Chance and finally the L class came in the hands of Dianthe Meij with Zerrany.
On Friday we saw again Lars Kuster win in one of ‘our’ classes. With Cassandra he was able to jump the vertical at a height of 2 meters during the Sterrehof Stud Six Bar. This time he had to share the victory because Kim Emmen with Delvaux also delivered a flawless effort at this height.
Later on it seemed it wasn’t the only shared victory of this edition of Outdoor Gelderland as Dutch rider Bart Bles and American Wilton Porter finished the Grand Prix on Sunday by delivering the same time in the jump off.
Memorable for us was also the international debut of our new prospect, Sterrehof’s Dante (photo). This nine year old mare from Canturano finished the 1.40m class in the Medium Tour with a convincing double clear round together with Julia Kayser-Houtzager. A great start from a talented mare in which our hopes are high. In the final class of the Medium Tour Julia also performed well by finishing third with our stallion Sterrehof’s Cayetano Z.
