Interesting foal born at Sterrehof Stud

We’re excited to announce the birth of a beautiful, black colt from French top stallion Diamant de Semilly and our Henna S (picture above). This means we have combined the number 1 of the WBFSH sire rankings with our five year old, talented mare from Sterrehof’s Opium and Sterrehof’s Ushi, who have both successfully performed at 1.60m-level. Ushi herself is a daughter of former world champion Vigo d’Arsouilles. Her grandmother Narcotique de Muze II (s. Darco) and great grandmother Qerly Chin (s. Chin Chin) also performed at the highest level in the sport. So we are talking here about the Qerly Chin dam line, which is one of the best dam lines in the Benelux.

Both with Henna S herself and with her newly born son we have employed the technique of embryo transfer. We’re happy that the foster mare is really taking good care of her foal!
