Sterrehof’s Dante, Sterrehof’s Calimero and Sterrehof’s Edinus perform brilliantly
All our Grand Prix horses performed brilliantly during the FEI World Cup show of Verona. For the first time in her career, Marc started Sterrehof’s Dante (photo) in a world cup qualifier, and not without success. After a great clear round Marc and Dante qualified for a jump-off with no less than sixteen combinations. They were again at their best during this decisive round and managed to finish fifth in the Italian stage of the Western Europe World Cup cyclus.
Calimero and Edinus also in great form
Two days earlier the successes started in Verona. After two excellent warming up rounds by Sterrehof’s Calimero and Dante on Friday, Marc scored a super result with Sterrehof’s Edinus in the evening. Our duo was among the eight combinations with a double clear in the 1.50/1.55m main class of the day. A strongly ridden jump-off ultimately delivered a nice fourth spot.
A day later we saw two of our horses back in the prize giving ceremony. Edinus showed again his good form by clinching eighth spot in the 1.45/1.50m class against the clock. Next it was up to Calimero to shine at this World Cup event. With a flawless performance in the first round of the 1.55m class (45 combinations), he and his rider were among the only nine candidates for the jump-off. Another clear round followed which resulted in a beautiful fifth place at the second most important class of this Italian top show.
