Echo van 't Spieveld x Sterrehof's Ushi in collection Prinsjesdag Embryo Auction
An embryo by Echo van ‘t Spieveld out of our excellent broodmare Sterrehof’s Ushi will go under the digital auction hammer as of February 3 during the online Prinsjesdag Embryo Auction. This auction’s collection consists of the best that is genetically available in current jumping and this also applies to Ushi’s offspring, which we expect to be born in the beginning of June.
Sire Echo van ‘t Spieveld is a BWP Ambassador, a son of Heartbreaker and the well-known mare Tequila van Spieveld, and competed at the highest level in the sport with Niels Bruynseels. Out of relatively few coverings he already produced a whole series of international jumping horses. It only makes the combination with our Ushi more interesting.
Narcotique de Muze II
Earlier we saw at several auctions, including one this year, that Ushi’s offspring is very sought-after. This seems to make sense. Sterrehof’s Ushi herself jumped successfully at 1.60m Grand Prix level with Julia Houtzager-Kayser for several years, and the daughter of world champion Vigo d’Arsouilles has been bred out of the world-famous Belgian dam line of Narcotique de Muze II (1.60m) and Qerly Chin (1.60m). Ushi’s dam is a half-sister to five 1.60m horses and five approved stallions, all directly bred out of Narcotique de Muze II (1.60m) and out of this direct family we also know current world-class jumpers like Killer Queen VDM (Daniel Deusser) and Levis de Muze (Ioli Mytilineou).
Great broodmare
Ushi has already shown to be a great broodmare herself. Her first offspring Goliath S jumps at international 1.45m level and at Sterrehof Stud we have several, mostly still young offspring of her, like Orion S and Chapeau S Z. We also have a lot of expectations of the very talented Mercurius S, bred out of Henna S, a daughter of Sterrehof’s Opium and Sterrehof’s Ushi.
