Sterrehof’s Dante peaks with Marc also in the WTC of Leeuwarden
Once again we can note a top result for Sterrehof’s Dante! Our brilliant mare peaked with Marc in the SLTN Grand Prix of Indoor Friesland and finished convincingly second in the main class of this show. This is yet another memorable performance by the 16-year-old mare by Canturano, who clearly reaps the benefits of the good management at the Houtzager-Kayser Stables. In the past twelve months, Dante has won the Grand Prix of Salzburg and Münster in addition to the prestigious Grand Prix of Rotterdam and also finished second in the main class of Hagen and sixth in de FEI World Cup of Amsterdam.
Fresh and energetic
At the Indoor Friesland horse show, Dante opened the new indoor season. After her stay in the Spanish autumn sun of the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour in Oliva, Dante showed herself fresh and energetic in the indoor arena of the WTC in Leeuwarden. It was accentuated on Saturday evening during the Grand Prix with a flawless clear in the first round. Only seven other combinations out of 47 starters were able to jump to the same result. What followed was a thrilling jump-off in which Dante and Marc set the benchmark on a clear in 36.90 seconds. The other competitors came short, except last starter Willem Greve. He eventually won this Grand Prix with Highway TN N.O.P., in which Dante and Marc thus managed to deliver another top performance.
