Calimero wins the GP of CSI Ommen, Cayetano Z third!

Two of our leading horses have showed their excellent form towards the European Championships in Gothenburg. Sterrehof’s Calimero was crowned as winner of the Grand Prix of the CSI4* Ommen with Marc and Sterrehof’s Cayetano Z followed shortly after him at third spot with Julia!

Both of them jumped a fluent first round that brought them together with seven other combinations in the jump-off. The battle for victory was excited and at the end the reigning Dutch champions were the winners with a clear round in a fabulous time of 35,43sec. ‘After consultation with Rob Ehrens I decided to take some risk in the jump-off, but not too much. This performance didn’t take anything out of Calimero towards the Europeans. At a show like this, close to home, you always want to do your best’, said Marc on the website of the CSI Ommen.

The result was the second Grand Prix win of Calimero so far in 2017. Earlier on he also won in Drachten. At this same Grand Prix Cayetano Z was placed fourth. So now he did even better with his Austrian rider with a fantastic performance!
