Marc jumps with Calimero in London and with Edinus at the CSI Ommen
On Monday Marc and Julia arrived back home from their holiday, on Friday Marc was already in London, were he started our star horse Sterrehof’s Calimero in the Longines Global Champions Tour.
In the tough Grand Prix on Saturday night, the most important competition in London, Calimero performed convincingly but unfortunately had one rail down. He and Marc finished on a neat twelfth spot and were the highest ranked Dutch combination.
Earlier there was a flawless and fluent round in the Global Champions League, good for a thirteenth position. Two times prize money in three starts, so nice to see Calimero still in good shape.
Sterrehof’s Edinus and Sterrehof’s Dante
Marc travelled from Ommen to London and back, because CSI de Driehoek took also place in the Netherlands. Here he started Sterrehof’s Edinus. After an easy first round on Thursday, the Grand Prix on Sunday didn’t bring the top result we had hoped for. Nevertheless the still only nine years old Edinus had learned again and Marc will use this experience.
Julia started Sterrehof’s Dante in the Medium Tour. In the final she was just a bit too slow and was the first to end up outside the prizes. The same had happened in an earlier competition. But we are very satisfied with our Canturano mare, who showed a her potential once again.
