Edinus 1st in Championat, Calimero 3rd in Grand Prix and Dante 8th twice
Marc started three of our horses at the Glock Horse Performance Center in Treffen and all three of them achieved great successes during this CS5* event. Sterrehof’s Calimero fulfilled again all expectations in the Grand Prix. He excelled in the first round and showed together with Marc his brilliance in the jump-off too, by producing another clear round with speed and precision. It looked like our duo could be the winners but the last two competitors, the American top riders Beezie Madden and Lauren Hough, were even quicker. Nevertheless this result was fantastic and already the fifth(!) top-3 listing in a 5* Grand Prix of Marc and Calimero, in a period of less than a year and a half.
Dutch anthem
The day before the Dutch anthem could be played at this always beautiful event on Austrian soil. Marc and Sterrehof’s Edinus delivered the best performance of the field during the highly regarded Gaston Glock’s Championat with winning round. The result was another confirmation of the potency of the still only nine years old Edinus.
As if all of this wasn’t even enough Marc also showed his skills with Sterrehof’s Dante, who ended up twice in the prize giving ceremony. On Saturday Dante clinched eighth place after one time penalty in the 1.50m two phases class and on Sunday she did it even better by jumping clear in a 1.55 class against the clock and finished eighth again.
All of this produced a fantastic list of results at CSI5* level of three horses in shape, ridden and managed at the best possible way.
