Sterrehof's Baccarat finishes 8th in LGCT Grand Prix of Hamburg
After the representation of our stable by Sterrehof’s Calimero and Sterrehof’s Edinus in the beginning of the Longines Global Champions Tour season, it was in Hamburg time to bring out Sterrehof’s Baccarat and Sterrehof’s Eddie Blue. Like their predecessors they were also able to impress with Marc. Twelve year old Baccarat showed this especially in the main competition, the 1.60m LGCT Grand Prix of Hamburg. The difficult and very technical course built in the huge grass arena of this well-known German Derby show was perfectly handled by Marc and Baccarat. Only the time allowed worked against them and brought one time penalty on the scoring board. At the end the performance resulted in an eighth spot in a field filled with world class combinations.
Rankings
After Shanghai and Madrid Marc scored valuable ranking points for the third time in a row which brought him as highest ranked Dutch rider towards the tenth position.
Another pleasant surprise in the German harbour city were the performances of Eddie Blue. The only nine years old son of Mr. Blue started brilliantly by finishing fifth in the 1.45m two phases opening class in a field of 59 starters. The next day the grey gelding impressed again and ended on tenth spot in a 1.45m class against the clock.
