Baccarat finishes 4th in Grand Prix and wins 1.50m class
One week after the fantastic results of Sterrehof’s Calimero and Sterrehof’s Edinus at CSI5* Treffen it was time for Sterrehof’s Baccarat and Marc to excel during CSI Twente. A very strong performance in the main class on Friday, a 1.50m FEI ranking class with a jump-off, directly delivered victory for the 12 year old Baccarat and his rider. They were qualified for the Grand Prix and also during this 1.60m class on Sunday Baccarat was able to show his fantastic form. The first round seemed very difficult, mainly due to the time allowed. Our duo also missed the time, although by a breath. On the fences Baccarat made again no mistake in Geesteren, which was rewarded with a fourth place in this classical four star Grand Prix.

Marc showed his skill with our other horses too. He started a bit false with Sterrehof’s Dante and had a rail down with Sterrehof’s Eddie Blue, but recorded no single penalty point after that with these still young horses at international level. In a 1.50m class, counting also for the Longines FEI World Ranking, Eddie Blue scored a neat seventh place.
Next week we focus on CHIO Rotterdam, where Marc hopes to defend the colours of the Netherlands with Sterrehof’s Calimero in the FEI Nations Cup, this year for the first time on Sunday.
