Sterrehof horses perform well during the Longines Hong Kong Masters
After a long flight, the first for Sterrehof’s Edinus (photo) and second time for Sterrehof’s Calimero, both of our top horses showed some good performances during the Longines Hong Kong Masters. At the venue of the AsiaWorld-Expo, for the occasion turned into a classy show jumping arena, Marc was able to earn prize money in every class on Saturday and Sunday. Together with Edinus he even did it three times in a row. On Saturday morning Edinus showed his scope by flying over the heigh verticals and finished second in the Six Bars. In the evening he stayed clear in a 1.50m class against the clock and the same performance was delivered on Sunday morning in a 1.45m class, where he and Marc were placed eighth.
In the main class of the show in the Asian harbour city, where Marc celebrated Olympic success with Sterrehof’s Opium ten years ago, it was time for Calimero to come into action. Our duo had one rail down in the first round but stayed clear in the second part of this Grand Prix and finished on a nice eight place.
