Sterrehof's Dante jumps again to top result in a Grand Prix
Sterrehof’s Dante and Marc finished on a strong fifth place in the Grand Prix of Jumping Indoor Maastricht, and thus continued their string of top results this year. A week after their second place at Indoor Friesland, our experienced combination travelled down to the deep south of the Netherlands and once again Dante and Marc took a leading role. Already on Friday they showed their current good form. In the 1.50m main class of the day, a convincing round without any jumping fault was followed by only a single time fault.
First clear round
Two days later they showed themselves again. In the 1.55m Grand Prix, Dante realised the first clear round of the field as starting number sixteen. Seven other combinations followed this example later on in this class and realised a small but strong field in the jump-off. Dante and Marc were the pathfinders and did start with conviction. Turning short and galloping forward, another clear round hung in the air until the back rail of the penultimate obstacle unfortunately fell. Their time would have been good for third place, but the jumping fault made our duo finish on fifth place. Victory went to Harrie Smolders with Mr. Tac after a spectacular jump-off.
