Sterrehof's Dante N.O.P. and Sterrehof's Calimero both in good form at the CHIO
After a year of absence, our top horses could finally start again at the CHIO Rotterdam. Sterrehof’s Dante N.O.P. was Marc’s trump card for the FEI Nations Cup on Friday. In the first round our top mare contributed to the Dutch team result after finishing the course with only one time penalty.
In the second round Dante again jumped impressive until a slight rub at the end of the course made one rail fell. Together with a time penalty our duo finished on 5, again a result that counted for the team result. Thanks to previous great rides by Maikel van der Vleuten (Beauville Z) and Willem Greve (Zypria S NOP) and an increasing number of jumping faults with the other teams, the Dutch squad of Rob Ehrens climbed to the top position and realised an historic victory!
Fully fit Calimero
On Sunday, Sterrehof’s Calimero came into action in the other big class of the CHIO. A fully fit Calimero showed some power jumping with Marc in the Grand Prix course and a flawless clear round was in the air. Unfortunately a fault on the very last obstacle blocked their way to the jump-off. So while everything fell into place on Friday, there was a setback on Sunday. Nevertheless the good feeling of two excellent Sterrehof horses clearly remained when leaving the Kralingse Bos showground.
